food disappointment

i just got lunch at the hotbar and added this delicious-looking frittata to my little plate only to get back to the office and find out it's some sort of horrible seafood kugel.

now, lunch=rice+broccoli

i just got a roast beef & cheddar thingie from arby's and i haven't had one in 10 years, and i guess i remembered it having REAL cheddar cheese on it, but no, today it has cheez whiz. blahhh. it was aight though

hotbar is the salad bar with hot food. like at greenhouse or the VIP market.

I just spent $9 on tofu tacos, which consisted of about 2oz of panko crusted tofu on old coleslaw, served on what may have been three homemade tortillas, but it was really a lot more like what I would imagine eating a pillow in a vacuum would feel like.

Dear Local 44,

Your food is now officially almost as bad as your service. I know that your menu says that people shouldn't blog about their complaints about the place, but this isn't a blog. Will you throw me out for this, or will you just make me stand at the bar and not serve me because you are too busy chatting with your co-workers? Oh. Wait. That's how you treat ALL of your customers.

I say this every time, but I'm shocked that Local 44 sucks so much, because Memphis Taproom is awesome.

HI! It pissed me off so much that I am posting from home. That never happens anymore.

I have never been to the Memphis Taproom, but I hear that Local 44 is like it's ugly, malnourished, surly step child with fetal alcohol syndrome. It actually may be the worst bar in Philadelphia. And the food is soooo friggin disappointing. And it's even more disappointing because it has a great beer selection and is two fucking blocks from my house.
